Stone & Wild Debut
The Stone & Wild Debut is the first handmade collection from Bravais Fine Jewelry — One-of-one pieces built from a decade of collecting rare gemstones with the eye of a materials science professor and the hands of an artisan jeweler.
Every stone in this collection has a geological story worth knowing. Two certified Mozambican Paraiba tourmalines — copper-bearing elbaite from one of only three places on earth where this chemistry occurs. Unheated Montana sapphires pulled from El Dorado Bar alluvial gravels in the Missouri River drainage, one carrying a color shift driven by iron-titanium charge transfer, one growing in two simultaneous color sectors that cannot be replicated by any treatment. An unheated African ruby whose hexagonal crystal growth striae are visible to the eye — the same lattice geometry that gives this brand its name. A Winza sapphire from a deposit that no longer produces commercially. Boulder opal whose fracture map is the literal geometry of an ancient Queensland ironstone, preserved in silica for a hundred million years.
Treatment transparency is standard here, not optional. Every piece carries full disclosure of what was done to the stone, what wasn't, and what the difference means at the atomic level. This is not marketing language. It is materials science.
Pieces marked Made to Order are produced in your metal and size on a up to 12 week timeline as each is handmade. Everything else is one of one — when it sells, it's gone.
Bravais Fine Jewelry is the only fine jewelry brand founded by a chemical engineering and materials science professor.
