A pear-cut sapphire points. This one points in a color that only comes from one place in America.

Montana sapphire from the Missouri River watershed — unheated, untreated, color entirely natural. The pear cut gives this stone a directional quality: the teal-blue deepens toward the point and opens toward the shoulder. Iron and titanium in corundum's lattice, shaped by a cutter into a form that puts the best color forward.

No heat treatment applied. This is meaningful — the vast majority of commercial sapphires are heated. This one wasn't.
