Description: Copper-bearing tourmaline from the East African metamorphic basement, worn east-west across the finger.

Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique tells a different geological story than its Brazilian counterpart. Mozambican Paraiba crystallized under higher metamorphic grade conditions in a different host rock chemistry, and its inclusion population records that origin. Under magnification this 2.82ct pear carries dark angular mineral crystal inclusions — consistent with actinolite, hornblende plates, or other metamorphic mineral phases — alongside partially healed fracture trails creating lacy patterns visible against the vivid blue-green background. These are the geological fingerprint of a stone formed in East African metamorphic basement rocks.

The color reads as a more saturated, purely blue-green — consistent with documented chemical differences in Mozambican origin Paraiba. The pear outline is freeform rather than calibrated — the stone's natural shape preserved to maximize copper-bearing color volume. The 14k yellow gold bezel was hand-formed.
