Green at one end. Blue at the other. The chemistry shifted in the middle.

This Afghan tourmaline carries the most saturated color in the vertical drop collection — a deep green-blue bicolor that shifts distinctly from one end to the other. The color comes from iron in the tourmaline lattice, with the ratio between Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺ changing as the crystal grew, shifting the absorption spectrum from green toward blue.

At 23mm long and AR 5.8 this stone wears as a vertical drop or horizontal T Bar. The saturation makes both orientations striking. No heat treatment. No clarity enhancement. Pendant only — chain sold separately.
