The color has a nickname in the trade. They call it fanta.
Spessartite garnet gets its vivid orange from manganese substituting into a silicate lattice — a cubic crystal structure with no cleavage planes, which makes it exceptionally durable for everyday wear. This pair was selected because they match: same saturation, same brightness, same square outline. Fanta orange in yellow gold is not subtle. It is not trying to be.
These are press-fit (threadless) flat back studs — the disc sits flush against the skin, no protruding post, designed for all-day and sleep wear. Suitable for lobe, helix, conch, tragus, and cartilage. Each stone is bezel-set in a square bezel to protect the perimeter and hold the color face-up.
