This 0.74ct Australian opal is consistent with white opal from the Coober Pedy region of South Australia — the world's most productive opal field, where opal formed in Cretaceous marine sediments at relatively shallow depths. Under magnification large sphere domains produce an intense harlequin-adjacent color pattern with full spectral range. The rolling flash characteristic of quality opal is present across the full face of this stone.
The TruSilver bezel was kept minimal to allow the stone's full color range to read without visual competition from the mounting.
